Junked Studio

All joking apart ..... Junk Photography was probably so very true when I first got my studio.

Based in an Old School that houses the amazing De Hood Boxing and Community Centre (For whom I am resident Photographer) it was a real piece of work. With a horrid green stained carpet and with literally no budget to work with after Covid I had an empty old school room and no cash to deal with it.

So I improvised .... The shoots were nearly all urbex style and I was literally skip diving to get props and materials to get it worked together. When I lifted the carpet (Without any budget to replace it) I found Parquet flooring covered in glue and in need of sanding. I got to work and scraped and sanded until I brought it back to life.

Now five years later with sanded and stained floor, lights in place and backdrops in place it is my second home.

And it is open for hire to other photographers. it may be not be a gleaming white modern studio but it is homely and with character.

Drop me an inbox for hire enquiries.
