1976 Born.
1978 Given first camera one … A plastic one that blows bubbles.
1980 September - Enters the United Kingdom Education and School system.
1980 October - Expresses a desire to leave the United Kingdom Education and School System.
1992 Finally leaves the United Kingdom Education System. Much to the relief of the Education System.
1995 Attends Coventry University to study nineties music, drinking, dating and avoiding lectures. Is particularly successful at 4 of those subjects.
1998 Leaves Coventry University but unfortunately not Coventry (Which is a hell hole)
2009 His girlfriend at the time breaks up with and begins dating a photographer. Chris develops an obsession ….. With her new boyfriend due to his love of her new boyfriend photographic work. First key indication he may have odd photographic tenancies.
2010 Has begun a portfolio using his camera phone. One of a horse on a hill is surprisingly good.
2011 Finally escapes Coventry and moves back North to Sheffield.
2014 Obtains first camera and develops a love of street photography.
2015 First ever official photography engagement which is for Weatherspoons. First time he has done anything like this and the results are not good …. But genuinely able to say he he worked for Weatherspoons and blags his way into more work. First emergence of the Barton Chase as a Photography Brand.
2016 Begins work as blogger and photographer for the Sheffield Antiques Quarter and the Sheffield Moor Market. Disturbing signs that his work is becoming not terrible.
2017 Begins working with model and Make Up artists Amanda Ellis. In between wine, fried breakfasts and sitting around creating schemes to make money photography they actually do some Photoshoots. Also first experience in a studio. Becomes resident photographer for Eddisions.
2018 Begins working with Paradise Hill Productions run by Aaron Casserly Stewart former singer with the three times Grammy Award winning Sounds of Blackness. Someone manages to wangle the CD Single release shoot for a Madonna record label artists LA debut. A testament to vague ambling, smiling a lot and lot of luck paying off. Also begins work as Resident Photographer for Melody Couture Fashion.
2019 Covers the Mary Berry tent at the Chatsworth Country Show (Not Mary Berry though as she has her own photographer). Works out of Pose Studio on Bramhall Lane.
2020 Pose on Bramhall Lane closes due to Covid. In between the lockdowns acquires his own studio at De Hood.
2021 Becomes Resident Photographer at The De Hood.
2025 Whilst walking along one day in a bit of down mood and lacking confidence he begin to mull upon a rather vague and weird idea ..... And Junk was born.
Am in no way suggesting it was a good idea.
