Book Two
A selection of some work from Book Two.
The images for book two have been taken around the North of England. The theme that links the pictures is the repetition of pigment, colour and paint within the city.
The surfaces and colours of the city change regularly with the use of fly posters, signs, use and weather. The places have been caught at a particular time when form and colour have come together. The influence of 20th centuary painters is reflected in what catches my eye and in looking at composition within the subject. I have also in turn seen the images as studies for painting.
What is important is to find some form and if you're lucky some beauty.
